Pantone Postcard Catalogs

There are now a limited number of catalogs left. The postcards and the archive of the project will be going to the collections of the Library of Congress in 2018.

The catalogs have arrived! I will be selling catalogs at the Codex Book Fair table 132 in Richmond, CA, February 5-8, 2017. To order or for additional information go to the postcards page.

I will be involved in a variety of events related to the display of Shakespeare’s First Folio in Iowa:

SHAKESPEARE REDESIGNED, A UI Libraries exhibit, 25 August – 1 December, Main Library Special Collections, 3rd Floor exhibit space.

HAWKEYE SHAKESPEARE: Teaching Shakespeare in Iowa, a weekend workshop for college-level faculty and instructors, 23 -24 September, Main Library.

Sustenance In Artists’ Books

An invitational group exhibit of artist’s books with the theme of sustenance. My books More Slices of Pie, Romantic Advice from a Christmas Chicken and Slices are included in the exhibit. Kaye Chene Chappell ’83 Center for Book Arts, UNUM Great Reading Room, 7th floor, Glickman Family Library, University of Southern Maine, January 25 – April 30, 2016. Lecture and reception on Tuesday, March 8, 4 – 6:30pm.

The Floating Library

My book Landlocked is a part of the Floating Library, a lending library of artist books housed on a custom-made raft on Silver Lake in Silverwood Park, Saint Anthony, MN. The library is open on the weekends in July and on August 1 at 8:30 pm there will be a moonlight paddle / poetry reading / closing event. For more information: the Floating Library.

I will be presenting new work at The Codex Foundation Book Fair in Richmond, CA, USA. You will find me at table #108. The Pantone Postcard Project will also be on display during the run of the Book Fair. More images of the new book Desdemona In Her Own Words are now posted on the BOOKS page.

UICB Open House

image002 Join us at the University of Iowa Center for the Book Open House, class work will be on display and the MFA Thesis show, demonstrations, refreshments and the Ladies (and gents) of the Typographic Union annual calendar will be on sale too. The renovations of the Center area are complete and it is looking very posh these days.
